About
Design leader, problem solver
Let me save you a read
You want to know three things: can I lead, can I deliver, and will I fit your team. Short version: 15+ years in enterprise design, the last three leading product design on the Dell account at UST Global. The numbers I'm proudest of are a 44% drop in exit rate, a 60% drop in support tickets, and chatbot trust going from 40% to 73%.
One thing you should know upfront: I'm available now and looking for a full-time role. Right now I freelance for public-sector clients under NDA. On my most recent project I was the only designer, and I made myself build the working prototype too, React and Express and PostgreSQL, front to back. After years of handing specs to engineers, I wanted to find out exactly what I'd been asking them for.
What actually drives me
That moment when something clicks for a user, when confusion turns into confidence. It's why I gravitate to the messy, ambiguous problems that need real research and data to untangle, not just a fresh coat of UI.
Whether it's for traders, recruiters, or enterprise buyers, I want to build things that help people do their jobs better. That's the whole motivation.
How I work
I don't hand over a solution and disappear. I bring engineers, stakeholders, and teams across four time zones along the journey, because alignment is half the design.
Two principles run through everything I ship: feasibility (designs engineers can actually build, which I stopped guessing at once I started building them myself) and accessibility (experiences everyone can use, from WCAG annotations at Dell to contrast-tested, colour-blind-safe government dashboards).
AI tools are part of my daily workflow. I use Claude Code to prototype and ship working front-end code (this site included), and ChatGPT and Codex to accelerate research synthesis, pressure-test ideas, and explore more directions faster. On my most recent freelance project that went past click-through prototypes: the working prototype, front and back end, was mine.
Beyond the canvas
I'm a Toastmaster. Public speaking is how I practice being uncomfortable in public, and it's made me a better design leader: clearer presentations, sharper storytelling, calmer stakeholder rooms.
